It is August again
and the summer air shimmers with alchemy.
The sun’s rays slant —
still regal and relentless. Its radiance
dips and burnishes flowers and fields
with luscious golden light that lingers.
And I too am gilded in this gentle moment.
Suddenly open to the sun’s affection,
and less afraid of its touch on my skin.
Content in the ease that arrives
just past the crest of abundance —
when thriving, even surviving
finally seem possible.

Yes I noticed a slight tip
Greetings Diane,
Thank you for your most welcome poem. I felt your thoughts when going outside for the first time in 6 weeks. How welcome your words are. How welcome to be back in nature, feeling the wind on my face, seeing and hearing the rustling of the leaves in the trees. Thankful to re-learn how to walk again. To start a whole new life, whatever, however that reveals itself.
Thank you for your thoughts.
Thanks Michael! I’m glad that you’re feeling better!
Beautiful! Thank you Diane!
