I’ve begun to write this poem a hundred times.
This poem about
the hurt and the anger,
the ending and the aftermath.
This poem about
the loss and the loneliness,
the injustice and the aggrievement.
This poem about the me me me me me
and the you you you you you.
And every time I begin this poem,
the words spill out of me and onto the earth.
They settle into the soil and find root there.
My words sprout stems that reach for the warm sun.
They grow tiny branches, and soon enough
my words rustle and unfurl like leaves
and become precious light-filled things
growing in a forest of faith and forgiveness.
(Oh look, I’ve done it again.)
What would it mean to claim fertility instead of decay?

May these words bring truth
and healing through open hands and hearts.
And then, let it flow back into our Mother Earth
for the love of all her beings.

Ah, thank you. Sophia! May it be so for us all! ❤️🍃☀️
Poem #101. As soon as I started to read it my eyes swelled with tears and became entwined, wrapped in the emotions I felt from your words that have tumbled out onto the Earth and took root there. I feel the Hope that grew out of the words that tumbled onto the Earth, and wonder if the pain that I feel can and will grow into Hope. I would like it to. Thank you for your Beautiful poetry from your Beautiful Soul.
Thank you dear Michael! My wish for you is that you too may find the healing that your tender and kind heart so richly deserves. 🔥💦🍃
