A Murder of Crows

A murder of crows
begins plotting.
A gaggle of geese
gets involved.

A mischief of magpies
sends backup.
A mob of emus
offers brawn.

A wisdom of owls
suggests caution.
A whiteness of swans
looks away.

A clamour of rooks
gives the signal.
A badling of ducks
does the deed.

A trembling of finches
get cold feet.
A carol of robins
confess.

A muster of peacocks
is dispatched.
A clattering of jackdaws
ensues.

A siege of herons
seems imminent
when a congress of eagles
swoops in.

The murder of crows
is discovered
and justice is served
in the end.
