New Moon
May the cleansing light of the new moon
reveal the hidden places in your heart
so this potent time of beginnings
will awaken and open you
to new possibilities .
Waxing Moon
May the growing light of the waxing moon
lighten your mood and strengthen you
so this time of steady ripening
will nurture and guide you
as you travel forward.
Full Moon
May the dazzling light of the full moon
release your passion and wildness
so this radiant abundant time
will set you free to dance
and celebrate abundance.
Waning Moon
May the dwindling light of the waning moon
lighten and ease your heaviest burdens
so this time of quiet gentle release
will offer moments of respite
and lightness of being.
Dark Moon
May the blackness of the dark moon
wrap you in its shadowy cloak so
this quiet and peaceful time will
clear your mind and open
space for dreaming.

I just taught phases of the moon at WitchSchool this week. I’d love to
forward this to Kiki. Is that OK? And to put it into my presentation
for next time?
J~
Absolutely! Thanks Judith!
Thank you for these very nice meditations. May the New Moon find hidden places in your heart. May the Waxing Moon lighten your mood and strengthen you. May the Full Moon release your wildness and passion. May the Waning Moon lighten and ease your burdens. May the peace and quiet of the Dark Moon lighten and ease your burdens. Blessed Be.
Thank you Michael! I love how you have reflected them back to me. . . much like the moon might. xo
You’re welcome.
Hi Diane, Lovely blessing, but I am off kilter looking at your moon shapes. They are backwards, at least in this hemisphere (and I know no other) Waxing moon at first quarter looks like a D (How Do you Do) and waning like a C (C you later) Also the crescent is not ‘new’, new is the dark one. Sorry to be pedantic! Anne
Oh, thank you Anne! You are absolutely correct! The moon is and always will be an mystery to me . . . I like your mnemonics. . . they are very helpful!
Beautiful, Diane! This really made me realize how completely disconnected I am from the moon, especially now that I never go out after dark. I’m going to try to change that, with your poem in mind. Janice
