Tree Love

Our roots reach
deep into the earth.
They intertwine together
in mycelial tendrils of
affection and devotion.

Our stems and branches
lift up from the soil,
and our leaves and flowers
are full and flowing
with the greening
and the sparking
and the healing
incantation of our love.

Sometimes our love reaches so high
that that it touches the winged ones
and birdsong falls from them
back into our open hearts.
